Star athlete Serena Williams is taking her talents from the tennis court to the recording booth! Word on the sidewalk is that the tennis superstar has been secretly recording a new rap album. And in related rumors, we're hearing that Serena really wants to get back with her former beau, rapper Common. Wonder if mutha is trying to spit a few bars to grab his attention. I guess we'll find out soon enough. *shrugs*

Serena Williams has decided to change her masculine figure and it looks like she started with her nose.

The tennis champion was spotted looking amazing at a party for Hamptons magazine at Pranna in New York the other day, which made people believe she went under the knife. She was wearing a leopard print dress and her face looked as if she has done a nose job. Or was the new make-up contouring techniques which add the illusion of more defined facial features? Hard to tell!
Anyway, we are glad that she seemed recovered after the surgery to repair cuts on her right foot she suffered. “Williams was reportedly hurt by a broken glass at a restaurant while she was in Munich – shortly after winning her fourth Wimbledon singles title – last month and had surgery on July 15″, People reported.

Serena Williams appeared on the Today Show this morning and gave host Matt Lauer additional details about her recent health scare. As we detailed in our article on March 2, Williams was  being treated for a pulmonary embolism which resulted from a deep vein thrombosis. The Grand Slam tennis champ had two surgeries on her foot and she apparently was in a cast for 10 weeks, followed by 10 with an orthopedic boot on her leg. She also was doing a lot of flying during that time as well.

Serena Jameka Williams (born September 26, 1981) is a professional American tennis player. The Women's Tennis Association has ranked her World No. 1 in singles on five separate occasions. She became the World No. 1 for the first time on July 8, 2002, and regained this ranking for the fifth time on November 2, 2009.^[2] She is the only female player to have won over $40 million in prize money.^[3]

Already regarded as one of the greatest tennis players of all time, her 30 Grand Slam titles ties her for eighth on the all-time list: 15 in singles, 13 in women's doubles, and 2 in mixed doubles. She is the most recent player, male or female, to have held all four Grand Slam singles titles simultaneously ('02-'03) and only the fifth woman ever to do so. Her total of 15 Grand Slam singles titles is sixth on the all-time list,^[4] and fourth in the open era, behind Steffi Graf (22 titles) and Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova (18 titles each).^[4] Among active players, male or female, she holds the most Major titles amid singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. She won her 13 Grand Slam doubles titles with her sister Venus Williams and the pair is unbeaten in Grand Slam finals.^[5]. Serena Williams is also a two time winner of the WTA Tour Championships ^[6]

Williams has won four Olympic gold medals, one in women's singles and three in women's doubles.^[7][8] On 4 August 2012, she became the second player after Steffi Graf to win a career Golden Grand Slam after winning the gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in Wimbledon, and the first player in history, male or female, to win the Career Golden Grand Slam in both singles and doubles.
